Writing Behind Bars – September 6th – by JR

A brilliant writer – a former client and class student – will soon be publishing his book.

Here’s a taste of his writing style. Might be your inspiration to start writing.

Writing Behind Bars – JR

“The certainty I was aware of included a sentence that called for 15

years of imprisonment. When I looked around me in my new surroundings, a

dark foreboding would sometimes creep up on me, enveloping my mind,

causing a shudder in my spine. I knew it was time to buck up and hunker

down, to put my mind to work at bettering my circumstance, one day at a

time.  I found that writing, no matter how haphazard or clumsy, served

to fill my solitude with a certain joy and challenge, providing each day

with something I could look forward to.”    JR

“I did it for the buzz.  I did it for the pure joy of the thing.  If you

can do it for joy, you can do it forever.”
