Why Do Writers Write?
10 Reasons to Write a Book
Writing a book is not the most difficult thing you will ever do, but because it can be a struggle, writers have a difficult time sticking with it. (See the article Driven to Distraction on my website-https://jasmyneconsulting.com/articles/tranformation-themes/driven-to-distraction/.)
Partway through the journey, they ask themself…
- Why should I keep going?
- What’s the point?
- Why did I even start this in the first place?
- Is it really worth all this work?
Sound Familiar?
As arduous as it can be, here are 10 reasons to keep writing.
- You are a writer
- You will discover a lot about yourself
- You will finally get the “idea” of writing a book off your mind
- You will leave a legacy for your family, friends, and strangers
- If you are in business, it is one of the most valuable calling cards
- Publishing your book is easier today than ever before
- Online sellers, such as Amazon, can do most of your marketing
- You can make money from it if that is your true aim
- You will feel an accomplishment beyond belief
- AND, because you can!
Not unlike giving birth, authoring a book is an accomplishment that lasts a lifetime. If you have trouble getting started or get stuck along the way, I would be glad to be your midwife.
Enjoy!
