Why Do Writers Write?

10 Reasons to Write a Book
Writing a book is not the most difficult thing you will ever do, but because it can be a struggle, writers have a difficult time sticking with it. (See the article Driven to Distraction on my website-https://jasmyneconsulting.com/articles/tranformation-themes/driven-to-distraction/.)

Partway through the journey, they ask themself…

  • Why should I keep going?
  • What’s the point?
  • Why did I even start this in the first place?
  • Is it really worth all this work?

Sound Familiar?

As arduous as it can be, here are 10 reasons to keep writing.

  1. You are a writer
  2. You will discover a lot about yourself
  3. You will finally get the “idea” of writing a book off your mind
  4. You will leave a legacy for your family, friends, and strangers
  5. If you are in business, it is one of the most valuable calling cards
  6. Publishing your book is easier today than ever before
  7. Online sellers, such as Amazon, can do most of your marketing
  8. You can make money from it if that is your true aim
  9. You will feel an accomplishment beyond belief
  10. AND, because you can!

Not unlike giving birth, authoring a book is an accomplishment that lasts a lifetime. If you have trouble getting started or get stuck along the way, I would be glad to be your midwife.

Enjoy!
