Words can inspire, thoughts can provoke, but only action truly brings you closer to your dreams. ~Brad Sugars

This week’s writing tip is short and sweet. If you’re reading this weekly tip on a regular basis, I’m going to assume it’s because you are writing and want inspiration, or possibly, you’re gathering inspiration to begin. Either way, great.

The beginning is the hardest part besides continuing when you get discouraged. In both cases, you’re the only one who can put pen to paper or fingers to keys and get the job done. When I find it hard to get into the groove, I set an intention before I sit down to write or whatever it is I’m wanting or needing to do.

My intention can be as simple as – I will sit for 30 minutes with the intention of writing, with the intention to watch my breath and meditate, etc. Whatever it is. It always amazes me how an intention sets me in motion. Because I know I am trying to help myself achieve something, I follow through.

Try it!

Enjoy!
