Wednesday Wisdom – Writing Tip

ENGAGE Your Reader

If you do not engage your readers, they will stop halfway through your blog/book/etc. When someone reads your work, you want them to feel like he or she knows you or relates to what you are writing. This is how you gain a following. People will only share your work if it has an impact on them. The best way you can do this is to use every day vernacular – write the way you speak. Sound like an actual person, instead of a well thought through dictionary. If done correctly, you will engage your readers.
